With three main phases to a kitchen remodel (design, cabinets & construction), the key to a smooth project and steady timeline is in the design and planning, which includes the selection of materials, cabinets and appliances. Once the decisions about the layout and materials are made, custom or other cabinets can be ordered. Once delivered, construction begins. Depending on the amount of demolition and reconfiguring of the space, construction of a kitchen can take between three weeks to three months. Besides the size of the project, factors such as specialty lighting, extra cooktops, a sink on the island and double ovens can all impact the final phase.
Bathrooms
Your “wish list” will come in handy when renovating your master bath or guest powder room. But the key to a successful remodel is the spatial layout and selection of surfaces and materials. There’s an infinite selection of tiles, tubs and vanities to choose from, so start window shopping early in the planning process.
